Wise artists
A bunch of us Zoomed through our annual polymer gathering this week. It started 30 years ago as a sleepover in a cramped cabin and then became a guild event. It expanded to a national guild event and when it grew too big for the woodsy retreat facility, organizers pared it back to an invitational. For three decades polymer artists have gathered to tap into the well of creative magic inside themselves. The cast of characters has changed along this journey but the courage to learn and wield creative magic continues.. I’m here with StudioMojo on a mission to help more and more people draw from that well of creativity inside themselves. It takes courage to learn and it takes vulnerability. If all of us disappear as we get older, where will the wise artists come from? Who will turn around and offer a hand to help others through? I hope it will be you. I hope it will be me.
