New intricate 3D cutters and textures (see the Picnic collection below) are moving slab making up a notch. It's getting harder to stand out from the crowd so artists start looking for unique tools to help. I thought the clay shortage was coming to an end and was stunned to see empty shelves and off, off-brands in the stores. The on-again/off-again pandemic, shortages, and weird weather patterns complicate our feelings too. I started a new project and when things didn't work out, I was quick to criticize. I was shocked at how I talked to myself. I’m trying very hard to be kind, especially in small invisible ways. There is nothing better than performing a few acts of kindness to lift the mood. And kindness to self needs to be high on the list.
