It's not your mother's polymer clay! Yes, you can still find beads for dreadlocks and crazy canes in psychedelic palettes but we've come a long way. Have you noticed the slick, sexy photos in today's Instagrams? On the beach, head thrown back! "Adrift" is the name of the latest collection at Skinny Dip (below) ....from non-coastal Ohio! Polymer artists all over the world don't appear adrift to me. When I'm not grumbling about their fixation on production, I'm quite impressed with new artists' moxie, their unapologetic drive, and their confidence. I'll take a hit of that! Try forgetting all you know about working with polymer. Erase that from your mind. Now run through your favorite artists online just looking at their photographs - the settings, the light, the models, the attitude. Ford and Forlano recently began featuring their customers as models. And I was happy that Joan Tayler decided to proudly wear her own creations in her posts. Both experiments show how confidence and attitude are key. Helpful to our art, yes! And central to our communications as well.

The Nikolina video from CraftArtEdu doesn't want to play nice with Bublup. In your browser copy/paste this video link (it's five years old). It works for me. https://vimeo.com/188668033 That's what happens with aging links. Hope you can access it.
