The Elora J. Khan Foundation was established in memory of Elora Joyce Khan, a young girl who bravely battled DIPG, a rare and fatal pediatric brain cancer. The foundation aims to raise awareness, support affected families, and advocate for increased research funding, which remains critically underfunded despite brain tumors being the leading cause of cancer-related death in children. The foundation’s initiatives include community engagement, scholarships, and direct care programs. CASA Soccer League has launched "Cleats Out For Elora," a campaign supporting the foundation through events and fundraising efforts, including a soccer tournament on December 7th to honor Elora’s fight and bring hope to families impacted by DIPG. The foundation encourages donations, volunteering, shopping for merchandise, and spreading awareness to help fight the disease and support affected families in Elora’s memory.

30 Philadelphia-area soccer teams gather in memory of 7-year-old Elora Joyce Khan
Over 300 soccer players participated in the "Cleats Out for Elora" Charity Tournament at Temple University to raise awareness and support for families affected by pediatric brain cancer. The event honored 7-year-old Elora Joyce Khan, a soccer-loving first-grader who died in 2023 from Diffuse Intrinsic Pontine Glioma (DIPG), an aggressive brain tumor that primarily affects children aged 5 to 9. Organized by her family's foundation and the CASA Soccer League, the tournament aimed to fund research and provide assistance to affected families while celebrating Elora’s love for soccer. Her family continues to advocate for advances in DIPG/DMG research and support efforts locally and nationally, honoring her memory through humanitarian initiatives.
