Encounter the magical Wisps, ethereal essences that embody the elemental forces of the Wonderverse, each with their own powers, personalities, and mysterious origins.

• Wisps of the Wonderverse

  Wisps are semi-sentient vibrations of energy formed from pure, coalesced, elemental wonder. Wisps can appear in the vibration of any of the different elements of wonder—or none at all—and are the fundamental essences that flow through the fabric of the Wonderverse, connecting and infusing all the Worlds within it. Each Wisp of Wonder is unique—some have more, or less, of each other wonder type woven in—but all are connected. True "Pure" Wisps of Wonder are said to be wonderfully rare, if any exist at all. Some believe pure Wisps of Wonder were only present at the beginning of all time, while most believe they cannot exist as the Wonderverse is ALL and therefore nothing is pure or separate from the other. ~ Each Wonder/Wisp type has a corresponding "Worth" — foundational values, that, when followed and maintained in correct balance, allow Wayfinders and Wonderlings access to the deepest levels of connection and Wisdom The Wonderverse has to offer.   While each Wisp type is connected to each other, most will tend to coalesce into one of the nine known 'elemental' Wonder Types: Terrus, Ifira, Aerus, Aquis, Cryos, Fulmina, Lumina, Umbra, and Etheria. Each Wisp type is often represented by a universal Wisp Glyph that resembles their real-world counterparts and their corresponding element. • BLANDIA

  Blandia is a world that embraces the beauty of the ordinary and finds magic in the mundane. Blandia is a small, secluded world, mostly known for its farming, its peaceful energy, and its warm, Tri-Sun (three sun) system. While once much more lush and abundant, Blandia has currently been suffering a long-term and increasingly severe drought—threatening the life of its inhabitants and the very world itself. Seemingly cut off from other worlds and the rest of The Wonderverse at large, Blandia struggles to survive by clinging to old, semi-forgotten traditions and rituals, while the wonder and magic that once allowed the world to thrive continue to fade into obscurity. Despite their generally cheery attitudes, many of the denizens of Blandia have begun to descend into a subtle, if not supressed, sense of underlying despair. Nature's (Forgotten) Haven: Blandia was once characterized by lush landscapes, rolling hills, and dense forests. It was a world teeming with vibrant flora and fauna, showcasing the wonders of nature, but has long since been ravaged by a relentless drought--many of it's plants, animals, and inhabitants being forced to adapt or suffer the consequences. Serene Atmosphere: Despite it's harsh landscapse and seemingly dire circumstances, Blandia exudes a sense of calm and tranquility. The inhabitants of this world value peace and harmony, reflecting this in their way of life and interactions. Subtle, Mostly Forgotten Magic: While Blandia may seem ordinary at first glance, it is not devoid of magic. The magic here is subtle, but largely forgotten or ignored, intertwined with the natural elements and the essence of the land itself. Encounter the extraordinary Wild Things--the fantastical fauna, flora, creatures, and constructs that inhabit the Wonderverse, embodying the spirit of the realms and offering companionship or challenges.

• Blandian CHIMKEN

  Wonder Type(s): Wild (Neutral) / Any Weight Class: Medium–Heavy (M–H) Chimken are typically viewed as simple, domestic creatures known for their clumsy nature and distinct 'Ba-kook!' sound. Chimkens are stout, medium-sized avimates--Wild Things with traits of both birds and primates--with round, pill-shaped bodies, two bird-like feet with opposable thumbs, long, "tri-tipped" forelimbs called "flappers", tiny, dot-like eyes, expressive, ape-like beak-mouths, and long, thin tails with three "loopy tufts" at the end. Chimken in Blandia are typically dull in tone, consisting mainly of browns, tans, and earth-tones, with their bellies, tufts, head "loopies", and flapper tips slightly different in hue; some believe, however, there may be other variations of Chimken in other, unknown worlds... While seemingly harmless, Chimken possess unique abilities that can surprise their opponents. "With a mischievous glint in its eye and a 'Ba-kook!' on its beak-mouth, the Chimken waddles its way through Blandian landscape, ready to surprise unwary travelers with a sudden bonk!" • Blandian Fenix

  Wonder Type: Wild (Neutral) Weight Class: Light (L) The Fenix is a small, bipedal canavian raptorfox from the desert Blandlands of the world of Blandia. Its large, black eyes grant the Fenix excellent visual range and nocturnal sight. Their over-sized ears and tail give them excellent hearing and swift balance and agility. The Fenix stands on its two, tall, hind legs, with its shorter front limbs bent and folded in at the elbow. It is yellow-orange and tan coloured with a white underside, face, inner ears, and reddish/magenta tipped feathers and fur atop its body and large, fluffy tail. Fenixen are small, and typically live and hunt alone or in small grups or packs—called a "box"—of 2-20+ individuals. Fenixen are generally wild, and are fast, clever, quiet, and agile...and can jump great distances and heights due to their powerful, bipedal hind legs. Despite their generally small size, Fenixen are high on the Blandian food chain and are the natural predator of other Blandian Wild Things including Chimkens, Dust Bunnies, Sandstone Beetles, and the occasional, caught-off-guard Sand Viper.. Though, when in groups or under the right circumstances, they have been known to "box-in" and overwhelm larger prey!

• Blandia Cactus Gecko

  Wonder Type(s): Terrus and Etheria Weight Class: Light (L) These nocturnal sapient reptiles bury themselves in the dry, crack sand and dirt of the Blandian Blandlands during the hot, Sunny days and come out at night to tend to their cactus "gardens" in the moonlight. They often display their large, bulbous eyes, floral head and back wardrobe pieces, and cactus-like tails above the sand and bury themselves in groups of 2 or more cactus geckos called "gardens"--when startled or provoked, they can ambush an unsuspecting Wanderer or Wild Thing with a fierce swing of their cactus clubs or "spike-ify" their tails with thorny spines and "pop off" the ends of their tails and head pieces as a damage-inflicting distraction as they quickly scurry to safety! Their tails eventually grow back. Cactus Geckos are believed to have both an affinity to the earthly Terrus Wisps as well as Etheria Wonder--they are sometimes seen licking and consuming various psychedelic cacti, flora, and fungi, which is believed to further deepen their connection with Etheria energy, Blandia, and The Wonderverse at large, granting them mystical and wonderous wits and abilities not yet fully understood. Wits Wit 1: "Am Bush!"; The Cactus Gecko buries itself in the hot, dry sand and dirt of the Blandian Blandlands--often in groups known as "Gardens"--exposing their cactus and flora-camoflauged tail and head; wavering unsuspecting Wayfinders and WIld Things with a surprise attack when threathened!   Dear Journal, Look! I'm actually reaching out and it's not even been a full cycle! I'm writing to in this really weird today 'cuz, well, I've been getting ally weird feeling lately... You know that funny feeling that you're being watched? Well, I've suddenly been feeling that feeling, like... a LOT. It started a few days ago, and it's like it hasn't really stopped.... What's REALLY weird...er... is that it doesn't feel like just one person is watching me--it feels like way more...   I know I pretend like the idea of collecting something. silly like cards just to play with and trade and battle your friends is old-fashioned, but, truthfully, I think the idea of being able to collect cards made from the world around you that also contain their essense and some of their 'Wits' is actually kinda cool... QUESTION 3: If there is, indeed, an all-powerful creator known as 'The Wondermaster who oversees and guides my story, how would we be alike, how would we differ, and would we be friends if I met them?
